Description:

An Iznik jug with one handle decorated with tulips and stems carrying small blue flowers. It was bought by Alexander Benaki in 1919 by the Cairo based dealer Boghos Ispenian whose name is handwritten in ink under the base, next to an etiquette indicating that it was part of the 1925 Alexandria exhibition.
